Lubbock Business Owner Honored At Wingstop Convention

Nathan Cage awarded Local Restaurant Marketer of the Year and Top Gun award at Wingstop 10th International Convention

RICHARDSON, Texas - Wingstop honored its top performing franchise Brand Partners and vendors during the company's 10th International Convention at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas earlier this month where Lubbock Wingstop owner Nathan Cage was recognized.

Nathan Cage, who owns three Wingstop locations in the area, was honored as the "Local Restaurant Marketer of the Year" for his long-standing legacy of highly successful integrated marketing campaigns and community involvement in Lubbock. Over the past four years, Cage introduced a partnership with Texas Tech University and Wingstop, and he is directly involved in the community through in-store, social media, sponsorship and local marketing efforts.

Cage also received a "Top Gun" award at the convention, which is given to restaurants that exemplifythe highest quality food, outstanding operations and over-the top-hospitality.

"Nathan operates exemplary restaurants in Lubbock and we are honored to have him as a member of our franchise team," said Charlie Morrison, Wingstop President and CEO. "It's thanks to the hard work of our valued Brand Partners like Nathan and their dedicated crew members, that Wingstop is one of the fastest growing restaurants in the country."

Wingstop honorees were comprised of single-store and multi-unit operators from diverse backgrounds across the U.S. and Mexico.

The Wingstop 10th International Convention was a three-day event held April 7 - 9 at the Red Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas and featured an awards dinner, keynote speech from best-selling author John Gordon, a vendor reception and informational breakout sessions.

With a sole focus on cooked-to-order chicken, the Wingstop menu features classic and boneless wings, chicken strips and Glider sandwiches - all sauced and hand-tossed in 10 intense flavors. Homemade side dishes include fresh-cut seasoned fries, made daily from Idaho potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, veggie sticks and house made ranch and bleu cheese dips.
