Wingstop Receives Restaurants & Institutions’ Consumers’ Choice in Chains Award
National chicken wing chain honored with Silver Award
DALLAS – Wingstop, the chicken wing chain that sells more than one million wings daily, also ranks among the elite when it comes to customer satisfaction, according to Restaurants & Institutions. Wingstop received the publication’s Consumers’ Choice in Chains Silver Award in the chicken category. The announcement was made during a ceremony August 17 at The Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point, Calf.
The Consumers' Choice in Chains awards are voted on by consumers and winners are named in 13 menu categories based on scores given to each restaurant chain. In the study, 3,000 consumers were asked to rate nearly 120 chain restaurants on eight customer-satisfaction attributes: food quality, menu variety, value, service, atmosphere, cleanliness, reputation and convenience.
“The R&I Consumers' Choice in Chains award is a people's choice award that sends a powerful message to the industry and beyond," said Dan Hogan, Restaurants & Institutions' publisher. "The attributes Wingstop demonstrates clearly set them apart from others in the chicken segment."
“Wingstop is incredibly honored to receive this award,” said Jim Flynn, president and CEO of Wingstop. “We take great pride in guest satisfaction and would like to especially acknowledge the hard work and dedication or our Brand Partners – our network of franchisees, our crew members and our corporate team.”
Wingstop was founded in 1994, began franchising in 1997, and today Wingstop has more than 650 locations open or under development nationwide. In July Wingstop reached 24 quarters, or six consecutive years, of positive comp store sales.
